This item is a double sixth plate tinted ruby ambrotype of a man and woman in a wonderful push button, mother of pearl case.  The man and woman (probably husband and wife) are wearing their Sunday best and have lightly tinted cheeks.  Both photographs have identical mats and were most likely take at the same time.  The mats on both photographs are in excellent condition. The preservers are in very good condition.
